Free play?

No plans for a Sat morning, just breakfast at our fav food ctr. Since the weather was cooling, we decided to drop by Sembawang beach. The beach is undergoing upgrading so sand play was only restricted to a small area.
I commented to CL that we should hv brought sandcastle building stuff (the gals have to use bare hands n whatever they could find to do sand play). His reply was 'why need such fancy stuff? Children should be creative n innovative in playing, find things ard them to play with'. True enough, my gals played happily without any 'equipment'.
