June Holiday Trip

During June holidays, we will always drive up to Port Dickson cos it will be a good month to swim as compared to the rainy season at the year end. We went again this year and the Ong family came along with us. I was worried that the laid-back lifestyle (no shopping malls!) would bore them to death but i think we all managed to have fun. At least the 4 kids were happy and enjoyed themselves. My gals swam 3 times in the 4 days we were in Malaysia. We had 2 good and cheap dinners at a local seafood restaurant. We even bought durians! Even though they were not D24 or mao shan wang durians but were still good. The only downside was that the hotel were a bit ex. I must remember to make a booking earlier next year so that we can stay at our favourite, Avillion!
After spending 3 days 2 nites at PD, we made our way to Malacca. It was 1 hr to reach Malacca toll and another 1 hr to reach the hotel. Traffic in Malacca town was not as bad, perhaps it was a weekday. Before we check in, we had lunch at Hoe Kee Chicken Rice Ball. Simply delicious. After checking in and a good rest, we all cheong ah... to FOS! Spent almost 2 hrs there! Left happy with big bags of clothes. :) We ended the day with another nice dinner at Nonya Makko.
We only booked for 1 nite in Malacca so the next day we were quite sad to have our holiday coming to an end. Usually my gals would feel bored during shopping trips. Luckily now they have Phoebe and Rueben for company.

kkf, malacca also has bad traffic on weekends, thats why we went on weekdays.

Port Dicksn is really just a do nothing place. More like to spend most time with our kids to make up for the time we lost on working days.
