Mother's Day

She took a marker and wanted to draw a nose for the flower but dis-figured it instead. haha...

YE school was rather creative, they got the children to plant some seeds and water it regularly. She has been telling me about her plant ever since she started planting. Last Friday when we went to pick her, she gave me the pot of plant. I thought it was good effort. The mother gets a gift and the children learnt abt growing plants and the condition for it.
XC didnt make anything for me but used her savings to buy me a rose from her sch bookshop. She wanted to buy a wallet for me initially (she told papa). But I told her that I need to pen instead and to buy something practical. In the end, the cute pen that she wanted to buy for me was not available so a rose was what I got.

Updates and updates

The nose was there after we took out the candle.

Been almost 2 months of no-postings. First some updates. It was the gals' grandma birthday and i thought why not get our in-house artist to decorate a cake? It wasnt expensive for a small cake and it will be fun and a experience for XC. So after her art class at NAFA, we went down to The Icing Shop at 313@Somerset. She was thrilled! So we got the cake and started work. It wasnt easy as it seems but it was fun. The product wasnt very nice but i think its the thought that counts.
