We bake cookies!

Actually we didnt bake the cookies but Xiao Ci baked them in class with her teachers and classmates on Friday. She was so excited and kept reminding me to buy the almond flakes for her. She was also alert enough to tell her teacher that she is allergic to peanuts and almond might not be suitable for her. Thankfully, the teacher checked with me prior to the baking. So she had no almond flakes added in for her.
She told me that her tr prepared the wet mixture while the children added in the dried stuff. Then she helped to put the mixture into the paper pastry cups. They used toaster oven and she even tells me that the whole room smelt nice cookies! They had some of it during their tea break and each child took some home.
I must appauled the tr for preparing this and really makes the learning fun. How I wish i can do this with my P4 class. (Maybe can try after exams :) ).

Jab here and there.

We went to get BB Yun Er for her MMR and hep A jab. I must admit that i was really late. She is now appraoching 21 mths and we have just completed the MMR jab (which was supposed to be done at ard 15 mths). Firstly BB kept getting sick, a slightest cough would not be suitable for jab. Secondly, this mama too forgetful! I even forgot to call up the doc to arrange for the appt. So the Low family woke up early (or i shd said the gals woke up early, Xiao Ci was excited as she is seeing her fav doc) and we left before 9. We were the 8th in the queue and had breakfast after we registered.
Doc examined her and here goes. My hairs sstand even the thought of the needle so i had to close my eyes while the doc administered. BB didnt cry for the 1st jab but she did make some noise when the 2nd jab went her her thigh. The asst quickly told her, 'Come eat biscuit' and she stopped. So biscuits in the mouth and she was happy. We were happy too as there is no hysterical crying BB. haha...

Hot, Hot, Super Hot Day At the Zoo

Since last Dec, the blogger mummies wanted a day out at the zoo but it didnt materialise as it was always raining. Today we managed to go but ... it was super hot! and not forgetting the crowds. I guess after 2 wet days, everyone needs sunshine.
Thanks to Kar Keng, we didn't have to drag the pram and to get a cab at the same time. We reached at ard 11, aunty Linah was already there with Sophie and she had bought the admission tickets. Before we embark on our animals learning journey, we had our tummies filled at Ah Meng's restaurant. Wise choice! Cos we beat the lunch crowd and do not have to rush thru our meals.
Then we went to Kidz Rainforest which was super crowded. We didnt stay long and met up with Pei Ee plus her gal and hubby. We went Fragile Forest which i strongly recommend for all to visit. You can see monkeys (not sure what species), peacocks, mousedeers, bats, butterflies etc upclose. It was like walking into a mini forest. No fence and no cages. The peacocks actually walked past us! (Of course I wouldn't want the white tigers walking next to me.) We strolled around and had ice-cream break at Ben's & Jerry, then soon it was home sweet home.!

Our In House Model

Need no explanantion and introduction. The award goes to my elder gal, Xiao Ci. Realised that she is always looking in focus at the camera and her ever with her, Smile!!!

Children's Fav Uncle.

He is nonetheless... (drum rolls plz..) Ronald Mcdonalds.

I dont really like to give children fried food as it can produce phlgem. So the gals always have hotcakes or big breakfast and we only go there for breakfast. Coincidentally I saw an identical pic in linah's blog.

A New Experience

Our usual routine for weekends would be breakfast at Han's (Springleaf) or Mac (Serangoon Gdns or Sengkang Swimming complex) then would be either to the nearest wet/super market. If weather is fine, we would go outdoor. We went Sembawang Park sometime ago and this was BB Yun Er's first step on sand. Initially she looked rather puzzled and puts on a frown... After a while, she broke into a smile...

U can see me, now u cant see me.

We were at compass point cold storage last Sat morning to get some stuff. It was rather quiet there. Papa was with jie jie at other corner while BB Yub Er was with me. She was next to me all along and told her to follow me and to look for Papa. Suddenly I felt an emptiness behind me and could sense that she was gone. True enough, I turned around and she was NOT THERE! I panic, my 1st instinct was to run back 2 rows and forth 2 rows to look for her. In my heart I was thinking 'Could she been taken away? ' But she would normally scream and cry for me, so if some1 were to carry her off, I would definitely hear her.
As i was frantically running back and forth te few rows, something moved at the corner of my eye. I turned to it and there she was, our dear BB Yun er. Giggling and Smiling away at her anxious mother. (I should have photograhed her look at that moment). Which means she knew that I would be anxious and this would trick me. How smart of her, only 20 months old!
Looks like I must think of ways to counter her excuses next time when she wants to stay out late or sleep over. haha...

Its so funny!

BB Yun Er has mastered the technique of taking off her t-shirt and revealing her half naked body. I think she feels prouder and happier after seeing us laughing off the bed when she showed us her new-found skill. Xiao Ci also joined in the fun. Maybe next time when they get married, we will add int their video montage at the wedding banquet titled 'My crazy younger days' hahaha...

Me want to join in.

Xiao Ci plays PC games once in a while as I told her that its not good for her eyesight. She can only play in the day time and during weekend. We were back home early one nite w/o papa so i decided to let her play for 10 min as i need to get their milk ready.
BB Yun Er is forever so curious and now that she has grown taller, she can sit with jie jie and look at the screen. Luckily she hasnt try to touch the keyboard.
For the 1st 2 pics, BB was actually trying to pose for the camera with a victory sign.

Happy Birthday to the Only Man In Our Family.

Last day of Feb is papa's birthday. No need to guess the age as the candles on the cake would sort of reveal how 'young' he is.
We took quite some time to decide on the cake as Xiao Ci wanted strawberry cake but Papa doesnt like it and prefers choc cake. (Actually durian cake is his fav but not for us). So in the end we managed to persuade her to give in to Papa and promised to get her a strawberry cake for her birthday. I think next year with BB Yun Er able to articulater her thots, we will have more to reason with.
