Singapore Art Musuem
We went to the Singapore Art Museum on Hari Raya after Pei E told us that they are having an open hse and its free! We didnt take part in the workshops aas they were full when we got there. So we only did origami art on the spot. Xiao Ci chose to fold a rabbit, i helped her as the instructions were difficult to follow while she creates the drawing to fit the rabbit in.
Yun Er was more into the balloons. We had our late lunch and walked around a little in the musuem. Soon, Pei E and her family came. It was nice of her to help me bring Xiao Ci to queue for the face painting. As it was almost towards closing time (there was still a long q), the lady couldnt allow Xiao Ci to choose a design from the book but i thought it was still a nice piece of facfe painting work.

A Teacher in the making?
Once, we asked Xiao Ci what she wants to be when she grows up and she told us she wants to be a teacher! I didnt tell her much abt my job except that she sees me marking at home and been to my worksplace a few times. I think she got the influence from her teachers in school. My first thought when she told me her aspiration, I was like 'Huh???!!!! teacher! so pai mia' Its nt even a job, its an almost 12 hrs dedication vocation. Like any other parents, I would hope that she can be a doctor, lawyer, architect etc. You know la those jobs which you can talk abt during the CNY visiting to show that your child is so so great. haha..
But on a serious note, I just want my kids to be able to get a job they enjoy and a comfortable pay. :)

I wana be....
We were at United Sq the night before. There was an event going out which ur kid (4 to 12 yrs old) can try out one of the occupation (pilot, ship captain, forensic science investigator, animal keeper, photographer, animator or model) when u spend $50 at the mall. As the event was closed for the day, we redeemped for the the pass and went back today. Xiao Ci wanted to be a ship captain which was a surprise to me. As we seldom talked abt ships and marine stuff cos mama has motion sickness. haha. Thinking of the choppy sea makes me feel uneasy. (At least she didnt choose modelling, sorry la to me its a bimbo job).
It turned out that she finds the cap nice and looks good when she takes pictures with it. As u see, it also comes with a free photo taking and we can have a pic as a momento. Wah! FREE! so why not?

Bbbubblessss...
We were at home yesterday. while waiting for papa to come back and I dont want them to watch too much tv programmes, so i took out the bubbles i bought @ Daiso. Both had fun and Xiao Ci managed to blow out big big bubbles. But half way thru, our naughty Yun Er kept bursting those that jie jie made.

Updates on Yun Er progress in school
Yun Er has been attending child care (so called school to her) since late May. She has gotten used to the routine and enjoying herself. Not 1 day would she refused to drink her milk while the sky is still dark or change into her uniform while her eyes are half-opened. Even when Xiao Ci was down with flu for a week, she also went in to school alone.
The teachers have started toilet training for her and i also started at home. Kudos to her teachers while teaching them, they can still toilet train. And to think that they have so many kids under their charge!
She brought home her file and i looked thru the work. I always thought that toddlers class is only to sing songs and get fed. I wouldn't say that she knows everything but she does speaks better now and can say some words in chinese.
I'm just glad that she is enjoying herself and there are some learning involved.
