We have 2 sleep over guests for the weekend. They are Soccer and Thomas. haha... Nope they are not boys, but hermit crabs. Actually there are for Papa's work, used to attract or distract children during road shows. For some reasons, he has to bring them back over the weekend. Xiao Ci was absolutely happy to see them cos she had played with them before. But Yun Er was a little frightened. However it took a while and she too joined in the fun.
Xiao Ci is a very nice child. She listens to reasons and really work hard to meet our expectations. The only thing i can complain is that sometimes she is too naggy.
Looking back at the photos made me realised that Yun er has grown a lot since she was born. She is totally different as compared to Xiao Ci. We were very much strict with Xiao Ci cos I was afraid that she will turn out to be a spoilt brat child like some of those i have seen. As for Yun Er, teacher commented that she has string character, i would put it as stubborn. haha... Think i must use 10 times more power in dealing and disciplining her.
We were at a fren's BB full month celcebration. Xiao Ci can really play well with her elder gal. I think they because they are only a year difference. And they can do the girly stuff together. We brought them to the playground and instead of sliding the slides or playing catching, they picked up fallen flowers. Yun Er only joined them for a while and later run off to explore the playground, which means hanging on bars and climbing up and down and scaring the wits out of me.
Finally brought Yun Er for her hair cut. I have been waiting for a long time to cut it cos she has not much hair to cut and she look boyish with her little hair. We went Junior League at United Sq, it was a looooong journey from sengkang cos we took the circle line then cross thru the underpass. Big mistake, the MRT journey was fine. But the walk thru the underpass was humid and stuffy. The worst is when i reached the end of the escalator ride up from the underpass, i see stairs! How to carry an almost 13kg toddler and extremely bulky Peg Perego pram on my own? In the end I carried Yun er down the stairs, took Xiao Ci to jaga her while I carried the pram down. Luckily she was very cooperative and quiet thru out the hair cut. I also told the lady not to use the vacuum on her. Xiao Ci didnt wanted to have a trim cos she wanted to keep it long for her year end school graduation performance. I kindly asked the lady whether can she just trim the fringe for XC and she gladly did it with no charge. (hahaha cheapo mummy! )So we were all happy that we managed to achieve what we wanted to do today. Back at home, I wanted to take a pic of Yun Er in her new hair cut but she refused. So i just anyhow snapped.
Nope its not me getting pregnant again but for the whole Low Family. My bro-in-law registerd his marriage on Sunday and Xiao Ci was the flower gal or so called the ring holder. We didnt bk a room cos it was too ex! We went there for a swim on Sat and as the gals didnt have enough fun, they swam again after the ceremony on Sunday. Can u imagine every1 is simply so shacked out while the 2 forever engerizer gals still can swim!!! BB Yun Er enjoyed herself so much that she knocked out at 7 plus and slept thru till the next day. As for Xiao Ci, she had a good time kicking and trying to swim a short distance with her float.

You will know that National Day is just days away when u see 'red army' everywhere, that is when all kids wear red top and white bottom when their school celebrate the nation's birthday. This year is BB Yun Er's first national day celebration in school. She wore a new top and the skirt was Xiao Ci when she was young. The school didnt invite parents for the celebration due to H1N1 situation now. They had a party with food from different ethnic groups. Yun Er's class was in charge of food and thankfully to the understanding teacher (she knows that i'm teaching), she told me to contribute bandung drinks. Xiao Ci came back and told me that she ate roti prata, satay, fruit salad, kwehs, otah and spring roll. And they ate outdoor like a picnic. So Fun!!!
It has been half a month since the last post. Thanks to all for ur concern, Xiao ci has since recovered but caught a cough bug and still with her but at least its not very serious. It has been up and down for the past 2 weeks. Has never been so busy and emotional. It started with my 11 yr old dog's neck growth (at the lymph node area), xiao ci down with influenza A virus, then my turn with the flu bug. Both of us have recovered almost totally but not for my dog. 1st vet diagnosed it straightaway with cancer and wants to put it dwn within the next 3 days. We seeked 2nd opinion and the 2nd vet says take medication and see how. However after 3 weeks, he has stopped eating and not responding to us. It finally passed away at home yesterday. I used to tell ppl that its better for the cancer patients to die soon as there will be less suffering. But now seeing my dog, I wouldnt want to let him go. I tried to postpone putting him down, it was only on the 3rd day that he didnt eat then I decided to euthanise him. Even then it was difficult to let go. It was a good loyal pal, he knows that it would be tough to see him going off so it chose to pass away alone at home. At least he is not suffering anymore and hope that he is at the Rainbow Bridge now with other heavenly dogs. The 2 gals were not really affected except that Yun Er had asked for him when she reached home last nite. I think it would take some time befre we will have another pet dog, maybe when Yun er is more independent.
