Stomach PAIN PAIN

These 3 words are the most common utter words in our house since Monday. Xiao ci is down with some Influenza A flu bug. Initially when the PD said Inf A, i was like 'OMG u mean H1N1?' Thankfully it wasnt and there are many types of bug in the Inf A family.
Her fever is like roller coaster, up and down sometimes even up to 39.4! For a moment on Monday nite i was contemplating of whether to call my PD to meet me at Mt A or go kkh. Papa said give suppository then decide. In the end her fever subsided and we didnt go A&E.
Its the 3rd day of her flu and it has travelled down to her stomach causing stomach flu. Poor thing, she didnt eat or drink her fav milk and yet threw out the plain water she drank. We bought her fav kway tiao with soup and she managed to eat a few spoonfuls. At least a slight improvement from not eating.
Now the most worrying is that the bug would be passed on to Yun Er.

Ps : I'm not spared of the flu bug too, stomach kept rumbling and cramps come on and off. Urgh!!! I'm suppse to go for NE show which I like but think got to give it a miss this year. :(

This is my first time trying to put up a video here but when i recorded it, i used the landscape mode and simply cant rotate it. Anybody knows how to rotate, pls help!
But not wanting to put her effort to waste, i must put it up for all to enjoy. haha...
In case u cant make out what she is singing, she is singing 'Happy Birthday' song. Cos it was her birthday and she has sung the 2nd time for the day. :)

Late Picnic

We have not tried going for a picnic cos the weather is simply too hot. Maybe towards the year end should arrange one with the blogger-mummies. I got this picnic set free with the purchase of a mag. (forgot the title). It wasnt really that fantastic as compared to the poster promoting it and the info in the mag is just so so. I guess pictures are deceiving. Luckily the cost of the mag is less than $4.
However, the gals love to play picnic at home. One of the night, while I was busy preparing for the stuff for next wrking day, they were simply very quiet. I took a peek and saw them playing 'pretend play' with their bears. Hohohaha... so comical. But it was serious work for them, Xiao Ci was laying out the plates and cutlery and Yun Er was by her side helping. Didnt stop them but let them continued as I read that its good for children to have creative and imaginary play.

The Daring 2nd Princess

With 2 legs touching the ground Legs off the ground!

No 2 humans has the same personality and this appiles to my 2 gals as well. Thou they were both from the same 'factory', raise up the same method but their characteristic and personality are worlds apart.
Xiao Ci is the more reserved and demure while Yun Er is more out going and daring. Things that she is trying now, Xiao Ci tried at a later stage. We were at IMM last weekend. The gals love the playground. I was watching Yun Er at the slide, i just turned around to look at Xiao Ci and back, she is already hanging at the bar! OMG!!! And she can really hang for quite a few seconds. Is she a 'piggy' or 'monkey'?

Outdoor Drawing

On the last day of the school holiday, I brought Xiao Ci and my cousin out for an outdoor drawing event. I went with much anticipation but came back with none. It was quite a simple event and not many came cos most were sick or wary of h1n1. Most of the attendee are abt Xiao Ci's age. It was organised by an art school and I happen to know it. Paid 30 bucks for both gals.
There was a briefing then the group was led to the open field infront of Victoria Concert Hall to do their drawing. It was simply 'look at the bldg then draw' kind of activity. Nothing special abt it.
They drew with crayons then colour it with poster colours, the children who attend lessons with the art school all have very colourful buildings but for Xiao Ci and my cousin, their building was coloured white. Simply because the building was white. I suggeste to them in colouring the buildings in multi-colours but both insisted that the building is white so it must be white. Well, there is no right or wrong in art and we should correct a person's art work. So I let them be.

Happy Birthday to Lil Peanut

Yes she is finally 2 years old. Yun er seems to be growing faster compared to Xiao Ci. Maybe it could be the more and more hectic work schedule that makes time flies by faster.
We have 3 birthday cakes altogether. One for school, one for her paternal grandparents and another with her maternal relatives. Due to the h1n1 situation, the school only allow teachers and pupils in so I didnt make s trip down to her school for the celebration. For the other two celebrations, it was simple fare. On Friday, we cut cake with her paternal grandparents. On Sat, we had a small gathering at my aunt's place as it was a much spacious compared to my 'pigeon hole' house and my grandma is there. We had gado gado (prepared by my aunts), sushi (bought by my dad, bao and siew mai (by me) and hot dogs and bun (bought by my aunt). Dessert was ... the strawberry cake! It was selected by Xiao Ci cos she said choc taste like peanut and she dun like it. To add icing to the cake, we saw fireworks! Bith Yun Er and Xiaoci were delighted and oohhhing... and ahhhh... away.

Not all the presents were there, the Barney water bttle is in school now with Yun Er.
