My lil peanut knows how to pee using the toilet bowl! It might sound simple to others but I know the hard time of toilet training. Xiao ci was quite easy to train as she dislike the feeling of wearing a soiled diaper plus having see ther children in her class using the bowl, it gave her more confidence.
For Yun Er, I only tried to put her on the bowl a few times, she tried but no pee. Then when she started child care since a month ago, the school has been encouraging them to use the bowl. So 2 nites ago, she pointed to the bowl and take off her pull up pants and said 'she she'. I let her sat on the seat and out comes the pee! (cos i was too excited and carrying her at the same time, didnt have the chance to take a pic, anyway it would be R-rated. hahaha....) I can tell that she was also happy to see that she has achieved it. This has happened for 3 nites in a row. Slowly I shall try to put her off her pull up pants in the day time. :)

Happy Fathers' Day
Every year papa will receive one present from Xiao Ci done in school. This year as BB Yun Er also attends child care, she also had one for papa. Look nice but dun think she did all by herself. But... like what the blogger mummies said, the process is more important.
The gingerbread man was 'destroyed' (eaten i mean) in less than 15 mins by Xiao Ci, Yun Er and papa. Because Xiao Ci didnt go school on Friday so she has not brought back her present for papa.

Up Up I Climb
BB Yun Er is very different from Xiao Ci. Certain things that she can do now while Xiao Ci managed to do it at a later stage. Maybe it monkey see, monkey do. She is also more daring.
Most of the days if weather permits, I would allow the gals to play at the playground for a while when they drop off the school bus. For this particular ladder, Xiao Ci only manage to climb after papa guide her and help her when she was around 3 to 4 yrs old. But for this lil peanut (aka Yun Er), she saw her jie jie climbing and she went to it and started climbing on her own! I do not even need to tell her where to put her legs and hands.

Happy Birthday...
Nope its not my gals birthday yet but we attended Xiaoci's classmate's party yesterday at the NUSS Guild House. It was at Suntec City, above Eng Wah cinema. I prepared long long time before we supposed to leave the house and we were at the party pretty early. It was 2 function rooms opened to 1 so there was space for the kids to run and tables for makan. Food was buffet style and because its a kids party, most of the food were kids' food (fries, spaghetti, chicken wings ...) Even the drinks also very kids! Ribena and plain water! They even have a hot water station. I think it was very thoughtful of the host. Not forgetting the adults, they also provided tea and coffee. :)
Xiao ci and Yun Er initially were not very happy when they reached, cos there a balloon burst. When the host led Xiaoci to the face drawing and tattoo table she seems more composed and happy. BB Yun Er didnt take long to warm up and joined other kids in playing the balloons, even after a few balloons burst again she also didnt backed off.
We had lunch and Xiaoci was glued to the tattoo table. She was busy tattoo-ing others! So i think her own birthday party will have no balloons, more drawing and arty stuff. The highlight of the party was the magic show. Xiao ci need no prompting and quickly sat infront without me telling her. She is amazed by magic! BB Yun Er sat with me. I dun think she understood much of the magic but her eyes brightened when she saw pigeons! And also laughed along when the magician brought out the 'lion'.
At the end of the show, all the kids Q up for balloons. By now Xiao ci had forgotten the loud bursting of balloons and she joined in the q. Maybe BB Yun Er has been trained to line up, she also automatically went along when there was a line.
2nd Visit to Philatic Museum
We went again last Friday with 2 blogger mummies, Auntie Annie and Auntie Kar Keng. We had lunch at Raffles City and then we set off. I must thank my sis for helping us 'chop' the long long table. BB Yun Er slept while we walked there. Xiao Ci was busying talking to Auntie Nia and Phoebe. This time round, the museum was less crowded as compared to the last time we went. As there was no lift in the building, we had to park the prams at level 1. Thank you to Auntie Kar Keng for helping us to jagar the prams as joshua was sleeping.
2nd level is more suited for kids as there is a room specially done up for their level. Xiao ci also enjoyed the heritage room, she had fun walking in clogs. After the educational trip, we all had tea break at burger king.
To add, Xiaoci discovered that Santa do exist! (in a way). There was a letter sent from Canada, from Santa Claus himself, thanking the museum. I took a pic of the add and Auntie Kar Keng tells me to try sending a letter to him. Who knows, he might reply. I will remember and get Xiao Ci to send a letter nearer to Xmas.

Hotel Stay @ Conrad
Usually during the June hols, we would drive up to Malaysia for a short trip. However in view of the H1N1 flu situation and papa has his classes on, we decided not to go out of the country. Thanks to my dear sis, we had a discounted rate for the 2 day 1 nite stay at Conrad. I would definitely come back again if the price is right. The bed was so comfortable! Even better than my bridal suite at Swissotel. The gals had a great time jumping and rolling on the bed. The view was also good, pity that it wasn't National Day if not sure can see some fireworks.

100th post!
Just realised that this is the 100th post since this blog was started in Nov 2007. I must say it was quite slow. Looking back at the posts thruout, i only posted a handful each month. Must be more active. Sometimes I do think whether should I take a break and spend more time with the gals or continue to slog in sch????
Anyway, to celebrate the 100th post, here are pics of the gals together.

Cutting Hair
She even got the lady to spray purple colur and sparkles on her hair.
As Xiao Ci is going for a two days camp, I decided to cut her hair shorter to beat the heat. As for BB Yun Er, i had tried very much to trim her hair on Sat. I also cant bring myself to pay 20 bucks just to cut her strands of hair, so she just sat on 1 of the empty seats and watched Barney.
When Xiao Ci was done, the lady asked me 'Can i help u to trim her fringe?' (pointing to BB Yun Er). I think it's becos her fringe is too ugly for her to take it. I did my best and I achieved my goal of triming her hair short but maybe not in beauty sense. hahaha....
The lady was super fast and I must say it was a good job.

Let's Do Maths
Flower Gal
My sis will be getting married next jan. She is a Catholic hence there will be a church wedding. Xiao Ci has the honour to be one of the flower gals while BB Yun Er has to stay with me. Cant imagine if BB Yun Er were to cry 'MAMA!', 'PAPA!' half way on the red carpet. hahaha...
My sis bought the flower gal dress as there was a 60% discount so Xiao Ci was trying it out. Not wanting to miss out the fun, BB Yun Er forced her way too.

Open House @ Singapore Philatelic Museum
We went to the Singapore Philatelic Museum on Sunday. It was a small place and we only managed to go to the 1st level. Didnt have much time to explain to Xiao Ci about the stamps cos busy keeping an eye on the 23 months old toddler. We stayed for quite a while at the activity room. Xiao Ci has a secret and I shall not say much till Wednesday.
2nd Term End Review
It was the 2nd term at Tien Hsia for Xiao Ci. As usual, they have a presentation for parents. Xiao Ci was excited to perform. She was motivated even more when she remembered that her teacher would give a prize to whoever performed well. Hmmm... do i see a carrot dangling in front of the donkey??? hahaha...
At the presentation, she was a bit shy at the 1st performance but got better after that. Most importantly i think she enjoyed herself.
During the performance, i had to hold on to BB Yun Er to keep her from going out to join her sis. he was enthusiatically putting up her hands, waving to the actions and movement.
Circle Line
We went to try the Circle Line on Sat. Our destination was City Hall MRT station. It was a longer journey as compared to the usual NEL. But it was fin travelling on the long long travellator. Told Xiao Ci that we taking a special train, she asked me 'Is it like Thomas the Train?' hohoho...hahaha... It wasn't crowded but there was a strong chemical smell at the new link from Serangoon MRT station. i didnt take much photos except for one which shows BB Yun Er on the seat, alone.
Its the holidays!!!!
Finally can breathe. It's the holidays. But for the 2 gals they dun have holidays as they are in child care. Think i will get them to stay home when i completed my assignment. Now is a good time to plan some activities and spend time with them.
